The Story

I've been doing this for 7+ years now, and somewhere along the way, two different sides of my work — weddings and elopements on one hand, boudoir and kink on the other — grew into one thing: Raine Studios. Turns out the through line was never the subject matter. It was the approach. Real moments. Real people. Doing things my way.

I didn't get into photography to shoot stiff poses and forced smiles. I got into it because I love watching people become the most confident, most themselves version of who they are in front of my camera — whether that's a couple who can't stop laughing at each other, or someone finally seeing their own body the way I see it.

How I Work

I plan for the moments I know I want, and then I leave room for the ones I can't predict. Every session is a mix of directed shots and candid in-between — because some of my favorite images have come from the seconds nobody was posing for.

Who I'm For

I shoot for cool, fun, unique people. That's it, that's the whole qualifier. Whoever you love, however you show up — you're welcome here. I built this business to be a space where nobody has to explain themselves or shrink down to fit somebody else's idea of "normal."

Where I'm Based

Home base is Johnson City, TN, and I regularly shoot throughout East Tennessee and beyond — Asheville, Knoxville, Nashville, Chattanooga, and further if that's where you need me. Destination work? Anywhere in the US, one flat rate, no math required.
